Halo Festival: Community Outreach and Engagement
Our mission to give back to the local community, starting by partnering with local businesses.
The Goal for Halo Festival
Halo Festival is built on the idea that we want to give back to our local community. This starts with bringing world-class music to the region, but our ultimate goal is to build something lasting that’s genuinely enjoyable, transparent and puts Ipswich on the map.
Halo Festival will evolve alongside our company, staying fair, accessible, and rooted in the community that shaped it.
This year, we aim to firmly establish ourselves as an exciting Suffolk event. We are a young company with ambitions to grow the region alongside our business; our headquarters will always be in Suffolk, and we want to create an event that everyone can enjoy.
Our Initiatives
First and foremost, our Suffolk stage is putting local talent and young artists in the spotlight. We’ve worked hard to programme a lineup that we’re genuinely passionate about, and we’re excited to see them perform on the day alongside world-class bands.
We are also working with a host of local talent and volunteers to bring you the final event. Everything from videography to staffing will be done with mutual success in mind – work experience and portfolio are crucial for young people and university students and we know how valuable this can be. We want our event to be positive for those attending, and those running it.
The Rain Clause is another way we will be ensuring that the festival is positive, even if the weather isn’t. If it rains on the day, then a percentage of next years festival will be discounted for those that attended, with this percentage increasing based on rainfall.
Lastly, we have begun to work with local businesses to promote them and our festival together. Each business has their own unique discount code, with incentives to display and promote the Halo Festival.
What Next?
As the festival grows, so too will our community engagement. We welcome any and all feedback around the festival, and that includes suggestions for community initiatives. If you are passionate about Suffolk/Ipswich, feel free to get in touch with any suggestions via any of our Halo Festival social media platforms.
Equally, if you are a local business owner and would like to get in touch, our DMs are always open.
